According to Takuan, the 2009 vintage was one of the best ever: "Three consecutive cold, wet winters allowed the vines to recuperate well and store up what they need to produce top quality fruit. Coupled with that, the long, relatively cool summer, with no significant heat waves, resulted in top quality fruit with excellent flavour and complexity." The idea is to keep the Chardonnay/Pinot Noir pretty much the same, vintage after vintage, to satisfy the very loyal customer base. So this vintage expect the same vital intensity of fruit and crisp acidity we have some to trust and enjoy. This wine is best served with fish, chicken and Mediterranean dishes or on its own as an aperitif. Alcohol 12.5Vol% |
