There's
never an excuse necessary to pop a bottle of
bubbly, but on Valentine's Day, you need a
very good excuse NOT to be enjoying an ice cold

We're
experiencing a bit of a Stop/Go situation as
regards the harvest on Cabrière. We all
knew it was going to be later than usual due to
the long, wet winter, but the cool summer has
kept the sugar levels climbing at a sedate pace.
However, once you've read this we will have had
our first heat wave, and the cellar will be
bursting with grapes that have all ripened
simultaneously.
So
spare a thought for Achim, Takuan and the team
over the next few weeks as they work night and
day to make sure every grape is picked at just
the right time, and given a place to perform in
the
cellar. | | | |
