||The Pinot Noir cultivar has small berries and thin skins from which a ruby-red wine evolves without a dense colour or rough tannins. Carol Beaujeu, our assistant from Burgundy during our maiden Pinot Noir harvest of 1994, pointed out that a Pinot Noir wine could be described as a "red white wine". Since this first vintage our approach to Pinot Noir has been to preserve the elegance unique to this noble cultivar.
With this Unwooded Pinot Noir 2011 we are taking the commitment to our favourite red cultivar one step further, creating even more elegance for this accessible wine. We are convinced it will introduce many a non-red-wine drinker to the pleasure of enjoying.
